I bought my first Jackson CS SL-2h in 2009. The price was about $3000. The factory installed two neck pickups on that guitar. That means the strings are wider than the pickup poles in the bridge pickup position. My second CS Jackson is fine, with a small painting crack on the headstock. My latest CS Jackson has two big screw holes in the bridge pickup cavity throughout the body. I don't know why. For hot tone cooling? The rest of my Jackson CS collections are perfect.
Why did you buy it then?
Important thing is : Are you creative to make songs with lyrics ? Guitar could be from gypsy basement .
The type and amount of flutter is all in the springs you use....has nothing to do with the bridge.
I returned a Fender Professional 2 Precision Bass for far worse flaws. Every screw was wonky in the pickguard. One screw was so bad it broke the wood wall into the electronics cavity. The truss rod hole was offside. The pickguard was lifting and warped. An 61 SG I looked recently had a truss rod cover that was clearly wonky. These things would annoy me for life.
there was an RR1 on the wall when my mom took me for my first guitar in 1985 at like $400-$500. She bought me a Lotus strat copy. I still want one but not at the vintage price point and not at the craftmanship of the lower dollar models. I stick with my Ibiees
Its a friday guitar
I’d love to see a follow-up, showing what they replaced it with. Hopefully, the replacement was really checked out first.
jackson custom shop is a joke would have been better off getting a usa jackson thoose are made in the fender california custom shop
Aahg, I have a bunch of rgs from different eras and they're always amazing. I wanted a V and had my heart set on a Jackson rhoads. If I get one and it hasn't been with the proper due care all im going to do is compare it to my Ibanezs and it will pi55 me off I think.
well, PRS is King, and maybe Gibson the deceased King... but anyway..
Ibanez the Best!
It was not done by a cnc machine. It was hand made. If you wanted a cnc made guitar such as that Ibanez bass you said is perfect then that’s all you buddy lol. Original 50s and 60s models were worse and equivalent to that cost you are crying about. Your video made me die of laughter I appreciate it. I was expecting something severe, however you’re crying about minuscule nitro issues…
You just got the Bluetooth tuner edition
Gibson's prices these days require absolute perfection. Until everyone starts demanding that, they'll just keep raising the prices for "luck of the draw" instruments. It took me going through a dozen of the LP Special P90 TV Yellow models before I got one that still only met two out of five criteria that I wanted. I bought two of the Epiphone versions that did better. That's ridiculous!
Schecter.
Good...bass is very good...
Ricken backer and fender precision very good... 🎸👍👍
I got my first one after 11 years of waiting for one to show up at a decent price found out it was built a year after I was born it's a 21 year old bass I love it so much it also feels surprisingly lighter than others I've tried haven't weighed it yet so not 100% sure
The brand on the headstock looks cheap. It looks like it was written in the default Windows Word font.
I’ve always wanted one.
I really don't care if it flutters. It's not something that adds any musical value to anything, in my opinion. I have my GOTOH set up with enough tension that it doesn't flutter, on purpose.
$700 wow! That's a great deal!
Gibson's are junk only bought by fools.
Volume pull pot is the preamp bypass. Its the usual for Warwicks. The Reverso doesnt have the usual wenge neck that would make it stamd out. Its just a funky shaped P bass with a Buzzard headstock.
That's a beautiful bass! I'm usually more into Fender/Music Man type basses (not necessarily those brands but the classic style). But I always had a sweet-spot for Warwick. Not only because my roots are close to where they're made, I love so much more about them. The distinctive sound, the craftsmanship, and the original style that stands out but doesn't look flashy. They feel awesome and they work for so many different styles of music but still keep their own strong and distinctive character. It's _the_ Warwick bass in my opinion, and yours is one of the most beautiful examples. Thanks for sharing!
What model is it? Rg7620? Rg1527? Love Ibanez 7 string that are pretty much ANY colour.... other than black
In a way those murphy lab thing is a genius move. Might as well beat the crap out of a brand new guitar and sell them heaps more. ~ r e l i c ~
People need to stop buying american made products. Half of what you're spending is on the workers salary and we aren't exactly known for work ethic lol. Buy Japanese. Japanese people are notorious for impeccable craftsmanship. I've played instruments from all over the world. As far as quality and QC goes, you can trust the Japanese first, and then the Germans right behind them. Remember this rule and you'll never buy a bad guitar again.
First sign that you were a f'n retard was the use of "lol". What are you 14?
I own this exact guitar, I had issues with the input jack as a whole it rubbed a wire down to the tone knob and the strap knobs don’t work. If you use a traditional strap with no locks your fucked because the tapered angle where the neck bolts on makes the strap slide right off (I speak from experience luckily I caught the guitar or it would have broke). I did the dog clip strap style and just put eye hooks in. Besides that best damn guitar I’ve ever played and I’ve been playing for 8 years now. The guitar is all custom now but when I got it I fell in love with it, so balanced, light, and comfortable
I'll never buy another Jackson guitar as long as I Live. I'm on the third replacement and this one also has a horrible ground issue and came with a wiggling tone pot and horribly uneven friends. What an absolute joke this company is. I dont think I'll even buy a fender ever either. Worst, most Lazy, bad quality, bad craftsmanship, guitar company ive ever seen or had. An absolute joke of a company.
That's a 2014 RG752
No one describes a 1970 Formula Firebird as “flawed”. It’s a stunning car that elicits an emotional response for a target market, but it’s not for everyone. Neither is the Tbird, but it IS the bass for me.
My 200 dollar Jackson JS22 felt like a million bucks. I did a set up, swapped the pickups and I am really happy with it. Honestly if I wanted a custom guitar, I'm heading to a smaller company like Balaguer guitars for a fraction of the price.
Keep in mind, buying a new guitar with a FR Special is paying for something devided by the cost of an ACTUAL Floyd Rose Tremolo. These are expensive by their own and therfor you might end up buying something with a sort of below zero value, if you catch my drift...
I don't have any sinking problems with the backplates on my Jackson guitars, including my RR24-7 Concept Series. I suspect those tuners are not Gotoh tuners. They look and feel the same as those on all my Jacksons. Definitely agree with the case issue though. Amazed the guitar isn't fucked from every speed bump the bus went over!
Jackson was better on their own. All of these companies are ripping people off big time.
10:57 what? 😂😂😂
the 2008 has fr1000? weird
WOW on the single coil mij
LoL. Came here to check up Gotoh, met a fellow grower XD
Wide string spacing, yes but they fall off the side of the neck on both E strings.
A little more volume...a heap more gain...Bill and Ted will pop up in the video!
that is just what you get when you buy Gibson, you can do so much better for a lot less cash
Great review, thank you!
Jackson originally started because Gibson and Fender were over-priced garbage that needed mods to be decent sounding. Now Fender owns Jackson and has the same issues as the Fenders and Gibson of the 80s. The newer Jacksons are very hit and miss. Thankfully I got lucky with the burl-topped Broderick 7 string and the Wildcard limited edition, both are great Indonesian made guitars. I’ll never buy any USA or custom shop models, especially since I’ve got 3 80s Jacksons that are still great guitars.
Thanks for the review man, this looks a lot nicer than the string swing version
I just got one of these. I wanted pink but settled for white. It is so much fun to play! The ergonomics are fantastic, and it stays in tune even when you use the trem. Sounds good too! I haven't done much to set it up either. I don't touch the nuts on my guitars; I'll get a pro to do it, but as of now, I haven't even set the intonation. All I've done is change the strings, and it sounds great.
I just got this guitar it’s better than my Gibsons and fenders. Pound for pound dollar for dollar
Gibson junk prs all day qc like no other
